A fox came to my door
on a cold January night
and I opened it and waved
him in But he stayed outside
So I left it open and placed
food and drink just inside
But he held his ground
I stepped back to give him space
But he made no move to come
into the warmth So I stepped
outside locked the door securely
and followed the fox away from
my door and into the night
