All the woodland creatures mourn
as your glass casket is carried
up the mountain side,
where you will rest.
Your beauty too brilliant to be buried.
Perched upon the crest
your dreams and fears take flight
with the sparrow.
Be brave in the afternoon lightning.
Rest well as the rabbits burrow.
Be peaceful among the heather and laurel.
Limbs may crack and break around you
but the aspens will care for you now,
safe within the thistle and thorn.
