I jumped straight up
Outta my rollaway bed outside
Our only bathroom.
That wasn’t no .38 or 12 gauge.
I could sleep right thru those reports by then
Aware enough y’know,
But, still clinging to whatever meager dreams…
Naw, this was something else.
Some crazy mf done gone and got hisself a cannon.
